Before a few months ago, I had never heard of Jamberry Nails. However, over the past few months it seemed to be popping up everywhere! After seeing all of the fun patterns and pictures of the perfect manis and pedis, I knew I had to try them out. It's was also a huge plus that they are made with no harsh chemicals and I wouldn't have to expose baby Barksdale to nail polish fumes while using these. When my friend Fallon asked if I wanted to try them out, I immediately said YES!
These are just a few of the hundreds of designs they have (and I don't know about you, but I definitely could not paint these myself)...
And here are some of the reasons I really wanted to try them out!
I decided to go with the Mint Green and Gold Horizontal Pinstripe (but you can also mix and match)!
I'm not going to lie. I was nervous to try these out because I always butcher stuff like this, but I decided to give it a go anyway. It started out a little rocky (because I tried to wing it without the instructions), but once I read through the tips below and watched the application video, it was a breeze! Seriously...follow the instructions. It will make your life so much easier.
Watch the application video HERE.
You can also buy an application kit and mini heater that would make the process even easier if you use Jamberry all of the time, but for the first application, this is what I used:
- Jamberry Nails sheet
- Hair dryer
- Rubbing alcohol
- Orange stick
- Nail scissors
- Nail file
I am not going to list out all of the instructions because the video does that for you (and much better I might add), but the entire process of putting these on my toenails took about 30 minutes. It will definitely not take as long the next time I do it after learning from my mistakes though!
These have already been on my toes for over 3 weeks and look exactly the same as when I first applied them, even after a lot of swimming! I love that they don't chip off like nail polish and that I did not have to wait for them to dry after I put them on (impatient much?). I have never gotten more compliments on my nails than I have with the Jamberrys on. I am a new fan and would definitely recommend them!
Have fun picking your design (it's so hard to choose)!
